Philip Iadevaia (pronounced ‘I-de-vie-yuh’) has litigated diverse matters in Los Angeles as a sole practitioner for over 24 years, earning his clients millions in verdicts and settlements. He has an established track record of success on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Iadevaia was born and grew up in Los Angeles, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UCLA and his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1992. During law school, Mr. Iadevaia participated in trial advocacy and appellate brief competition. Before earning his undergraduate and law degrees, Philip apprenticed with his father as an electrician, became a journeyman electrician and holds a C-10 contractor’s license (inactive). He brings to Schorr Law a wealth of experience, along with his cherished clients from all walks of life, whom he is grateful to have met while in sole practice.
Mr. Iadevaia’s successes on behalf of his clients include:
- Obtaining 7-figure judgments in his clients’ favor on fraud and breach of contract actions, defeating complaints and prevailing on cross-complaints.
- Winning a jury verdict for fraud on a cross-complaint against a cabinet supplier for a 12 unit condominium complex in Redondo Beach, CA and defeating the contractor’s complaint against his client entirely;
- Settling cases and collecting judgments for clients in excess of $1,500,000.00 and prosecuting and defending over 1,000 unlawful detainer cases.
Philip’s pastime and leisure activities include perpetually remodeling his house, studying the guitar and participating in community theater. He is currently on track to earn his Masters Degree in English from California State University, Northridge, enjoys volunteer work with Junior Achievement and regularly volunteers with the Los Angeles and Riverside Superior Courts.
