Leila Alemi, Esq.
Leila Alemi joined Schorr Law as an associate in October 2015. Ms. Alemi earned her undergraduate degree in Global Studies with a minor in Art History from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her juris doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
While in law school, she worked as a judicial clerk for Justice Fred Woods of the Second District Court of Appeal of California. While working as a judicial clerk for the California Court of Appeal, Ms. Alemi gained insight both into the appellate process as well as into trial court law and proceeding that lead to the appeals.
During law school, Ms. Alemi was a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board, served as a Loyola writing tutor, and worked on the executive student board of the Stephen O’Neil Trial Advocacy Mentoring Program.
Since being admitted to the Bar, Ms. Alemi has assisted clients in many types of litigation matters, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Represented the seller of real estate who had been sued by the buyer post judgment. She was able to help negotiate a 90% reduction in the judgment;
- Represented a principal in an employment matter involving racial discrimination – obtained a settlement for over $680,000.
Ms. Alemi is admitted to practice before all state courts in California and before the Central District of California.
In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and cooking.
